Introduction
In order to use a custom domain on your Elementor Cloud Website, you must have a name registered with a third party. It will then be connected to your Elementor Cloud Website.
This is one of the final steps in the journey of creating your Elementor Cloud Website. You will purchase a custom domain and connect it to your website. Choosing your domain name, including the correct extension, is a very important part of your success.
Purchasing and registering your domain name
In order to use a custom domain on your Elementor Cloud Website, you must have a name registered with a third party. Elementor does not offer registration services at this time. You may purchase and register your domain from a registrar. Commonly used registrars are:
- Godaddy
- Namecheap
- Google Domains
- Domain.com
- Hover
Connecting your custom domain
Once you have purchased your domain, and registered it you may add it to your Elementor Cloud Website as a Custom Domain*. In order to connect your domain to your Elementor Cloud Website, you will first need to make some changes to your domain’s DNS (Domain Name System) records. This document will walk you through the steps.
*You will need to wait for your registrar to send you an email stating that the domain is ready before proceeding.
Summary
Your Elementor website will be able to be reached at the new custom domain usually in less than 24 hours but could take up to 72 hours depending on your registrar and DNS.
